Welcome to Karam Elahi Memorial Trust
Introduction PDF Print E-mail

Karam Elahi Memorial Trust was established in 2006 with the primary objective of providing free eye care for poor people suffering from treatable blindness and other eye related diseases. We have extended the objectives to cater for basic Healthcare and Education in deprived regions of Azad Kashmir. These regions have dismal health statistics showing that thousands of poor people, mostly children die annually from preventable diseases and lack of access to basic health care. All of our Trustees are working voluntarily, to alleviate the pain, suffering and diseases, engulfing the poor and under-privileged people.

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim.  As a child growing up in the valleys of Azad Kashmir, I never really dreamt of much.  It was only when I came to England during the '60s that I developed the ambition to go on and do a lot with my life.
When I started seeing development, change and progress, I always dreamt of doing something back home, not in Pakistan, but in my little village in Azad Kashmir.
